M1 Bank Des Peres Historical Building Architectural Plans

M1 Bank, a new St. Louis bank, selected a key piece of property on heavily trafficked Manchester Road for their debut of this flagship and prototype branch. The original colonial-style retail building (once a candy store) was transformed into a stately but bold home for M1 Bank. From the beginning, the client knew the look and feel their new company wanted to convey. CORE10 helped implement that vision within the framework of the building to be renovated. We carefully selected interior and exterior details to remove the prior colonial elements and create a strong new style.

To break the traditional mold of short and dark drive-thru structures typical of bank branches today, we created a new standalone drive-through canopy. Our version carried over the stone details and strong structure, but allowed it to be tall enough to hold it’s portion of the site. And then we opened the roof with a pyramidal glass structure to make the drive thru experience just as elegant as the lobby.
